Red Habanero
300,000 + SHU. Heat Level 10+++
The fruit shape and size are much like the regular Orange Habanero, wrinkled 1 inch to 1-1/2 inch long peppers with a tapered end. These peppers turn a brilliant red upon maturity and grow in abundance on 3-1/2 foot tall plants. Hot enough to suit even the most dedicated heat seeker. The Habanero is one of the world's hottest and most renowned chillis. For the uninitiated even a tiny piece of Habanero would cause intense and prolonged oral suffering. Underneath the heat is a delicate plum-tomato apricot, apple-like flavour. This bright red version of Habanero is one hot pepper. (Capsicum Chinense)

Red Scotch
Bonnet Caribbean Antillais
Heat Level is 9-10
The Scotch Bonnet is not the same chilli as the Haban ero they are of the same species but the Scotch Bonnet is not a Cultivar. The Scotch Bonnet has a different shape - one which closely resembles a Scot's bonnet - so it is very easy to differentiate the two. It grows mainly in the Caribbean islands while the Habanero grows mainly in Latin and North American. The flavour of the two, however, is very similar as is their heat Level. The Scotch Bonnet Red is 1 to 1-1/2 inches in diameter, is irregularly shaped. Some say the flavour is even more tropical and fruity than the Habanero. It is great for salsas and sauces. (Capsicum Chinense).
